ISTAT releases July unemployment rate flash data (0800 GMT); August CPI flash data (0900 GMT); August consumer and business confidence data (1000 GMT).

The lender will repay ahead of schedule, on Sept. 23, 1.25 billion euros of fixed rate resettable Tier 2 subordinated callable notes due in 2029, the bank said on Friday.

Fnac Darty FNAC.PA and Ruby Equity Investment on Thursday stood by their takeover offer for the Italian consumer electronics retailer after Unieuro's board failed to agree on the price offered.

State lender CDP is studying a capital increase for its unit Cdp Reti to be able to support Italgas IG.MI in its acquisition of 2i Rete Gas, MF reported on Friday. The possible capital injection for Cdp Reti, which owns 26% of Italgas, could be carried out in 2025, the report added.

The Italian Serie A team has sold Italy forward Federico Chiesa to Liverpool on a long-term contract, the two clubs said on Thursday.
